John T.'s Story

Life after i left scholastic on disability, i made the mistake of moving back to arkansas in 1996. my dream is to move back to nyc, maybe spring 2005. i hate it here, i have few friends, there is nothing interesting for me to do. after nyc, nowhere else is worth living. College started college at hsu thinking i was really mature and world-wise, but found out fast i wasn't. loved being in the theatre department, with mr. durham and mr. dunham (who lusted after me the whole time i was there) directing shows. had lots of good friends; lied and said i commuted so i could live off campus junior and senior years. moved to nyc to act; was in soaps, extras in movies, tv shows; auditioned for b'way and other shows. met stars and worked with some. then worked in publishing. moved back ...Expand for more
to ark in 1996. worst move of my life. would like to hear from any of you guys in theatre dept from 1970 to 1974. Workplace after graduating from henderson in 1974, i moved to houston, where i worked various jobs, but mainly continued acting. i moved to nyc in 1981 to become a famous actor, and did work on soaps, films, tv shows, auditioned for commercials, b'way, off-b'way, etc. ended up, somehow, in publishing, where i worked at sport magazine as typesetter and then copy editor, quit to spend full-time pursuing acting, ran out of money, and went to work back in publishing at scholastic, inc., where i was associate production manager for their classroom magazines. then i went on disability, and made the mistake of moving back to arkansas. hope to rectify that in spring of 2005
